Howdy
Hi, my name is David Kim and I am a UX designer. I am a hands on, problem solver that strives at creating solutions of simplicity. I come from a CAD-CAM (computer assisted design - computer assisted manufacturing) background where objects on a screen are custom designed and then milled into tangible products that help improve the lives of the users.
For quite some time I have been career searching for a role that I would really enjoy and be well suited to. I was introduced to UX design by a friend and I was immediately fascinated and got me thinking. The idea that everything people view on their screens have been tailored for users is an astonishing thought to me. The potential to be the difference between a product’s success or ultimate failure.
I believe my prior experience as a CAD designer and creating solutions for the user has benefited me to become a better suited UX designer. I have always been a techie and a versatile jack of all trades and I believe UX design is the role I have been looking for. I am excited to learn and work as a team member and apply the skills that I learned from Springboard’s UX User Experience Workshop. I look forward to furthering my UX knowledge and insight through coursework and experience.
